Dr Rebecca Harrison
EIF Project Lead
Throughout my career I’ve been interested in how media and technology affect people’s daily lives. My work questions how identity, power, and conflict determine who controls and can access media. Since 2017, my research has focused on Star Wars and includes the 2020 book BFI Film Classics: The Empire Strikes Back. Currently, I’m working on another book about Star Wars that will include findings from the EIF project. It uncovers historical materials and perspectives that are under-represented in existing accounts of the franchise, while also interrogating political economies and ecologies of filmmaking in the UK.

Dr Siti Syuhaida Mohamed Yunus
EIF Research Associate 2022-2024
I joined the EIF project as research associate. My role focused on finding and analysing data about the life cycles of props and costumes made for the Star Wars franchise. My expertise is in environmental analysis and metrics, including environmental risk assessments, life cycle assessments (LCAs), and the communication of sustainability initiatives. I have experience in LCA and carbon footprinting for oil and gas, manufacturing, healthcare equipment, waste management, the food industry and agriculture.
Jung-Min Kim
BAFTA Albert Data Analyst
Min is the data analyst for albert. His role includes auditing carbon footprints, managing the green suppliers' list, and maintaining albert’s carbon calculator. He graduated from King’s College London with a Masters in Sustainability and Climate Change studies and has previously worked in sustainable finance collecting corporate carbon emissions data. He is interested in how the TV and film industry can impact consumption patterns by showing environmental sustainability on screen, as well as how we can reduce emissions from production processes.
Kishan Khambhaita
BAFTA Albert Communications
Kishan is responsible for supporting albert's comms and looking after its social media channels. His background is in biochemistry and stem cell biology, and he decided to pursue his passions in the arts industries through acting and filmmaking. He is interested in how the industry is evolving with consideration to modern issues, such as sustainability.

BAFTA Albert
Founded in 2011, albert supports the global film and television industry to reduce the environmental impacts of production and to create content that supports a vision for a sustainable future. Visit their website to learn about albert’s production tools and other resources. The albert team supported the EIF project with data analysis and communications between 2022 and 2023.
National Science and Media Museum
Based in Bradford, the Museum’s galleries and exhibition spaces investigate and celebrate photography, film, television, animation, videogames and sound technologies. You can discover more about their work on their website. The Museum supports the EIF project's engagement remit. They are hosting a public talk about location shoots in July 2025.
